“I want to be the son”
As Lord Nrsimhadev sat there his Ugra form, The form of Total Anger all the demigods that were hiding across the unverse made their descend on the hall of Hiranyakashipu. Still approaching the Lord, with awe and reverence, no one bared step forward.
Lord Brahma took the lead and turned to Luxmidev. He told Her that since She the wife of the Lord, she approach Him and try to calm him down. But Luxmidev was also perplexed by the form of the Lord. She had never seen Her Husband in such a state, therefore She humbly refused to approach the Lord in this state.
The authorized Vedic books like Brahma Samitha describes that lord Ganesha worships Lord Nrsimhadev for the power to removing all obstacles, therefore he’s known as Vighna Vinashaka – The Destroyer of all obstacles. So, lord Ganesha, who assisted Vyasadev in writting down all the Vedas, decided to approach Lord Nrsimhadev. But with a huff of anger Lord Nrsimhadev stopped lord Ganesha in his tracks. (His Holiness Bhakti Purosttama Swami)
With no one willing to go forward, lord Brahma turned to the five year old devotee, Sri Prahlada. Lord Brahma told him that since the Lord came down to protect him, he should go forward and pacify the Lord. Taking a garland with him, Hiranyakashipu’s son approached the Lord. Seeing his devotee offering obeisance and by the request of Sri Prahlada’s prayers, the anger in Lord Nrisingadev subdued.
“After been pacified by the prayers, the Lord asked Prahlada for ask any benediction he wanted. Prahlada refused saying that there should be no business transaction between the Lord and his devotees. He said If anyone engaged in the devotional service of the Lord prays for personal sense gratification, he cannot be called a pure devotee or even a devotee. He may be called only a merchant engaged in the business of give and take. The Supreme Personality of Godhead was greatly pleased with Prahlada Maharaja for his unalloyed devotion, yet the Lord provided him one material benediction-that he would be perfectly happy in this world and live his next life in Vaikuntha. The Lord gave him the benediction that he would be the king of this material world until the end of the manvantara millennium and that although in this material world, he would have the facility to hear the glories of the Lord and depend fully on the Lord, performing service to Him in uncontaminated bhakti-yoga. The Lord advised Prahlada to perform sacrifices through bhakti-yoga, for this is the duty of a king. Prahläda Mahäräja accepted whatever the Lord had offered him, and he prayed for the Lord to deliver his father. In response to this prayer, the Lord assured him that in the family of such a pure devotee as he, not only the devotee’s father but his forefathers for twenty-one generations are liberated. The Lord also asked Prahläda to perform the ritualistic ceremonies appropriate after his father’s death”. (Srimad Bhagatam 7.10 Summary)
Picking up Sri Prahlada and placing him on His lap, Lord Nrsimhadev embraced his five year devotee. Then the emotions and Bhakti of Sri Prahlada run through the body of Lord Nrsimhadev. The all- Knowing, All-Pervading Lord could not understand the devotion that was felt by Sri Prahlada. In a relationship there are two or more personalities. Each personality has different emotions. Here Prahlada had the emotion of a son and Lord Nrsimhadev had the emotion of a Father.
Within the mind of Lord Nrsinagdev, he thought that what is this devotion that Sri Prahlada is feeling. Lord Nrsimhadev became greedy for this kind of devotion. But in this incarnation he could experience it because he appeared from a pillar.
So Lord Nrsimhadev desired to have this experience of been the son, so therefore He decided that in His next incarnations He will appear in a human form and take the part of a son. Due to this desire all the incarnations after Lord Nrsinagdev were human forms. Prior to that, They were all transcendental animals form like the Matysa (Fish) Kurma (tortoise) Varaha (Boar) and Nrsimhadev (Half man/Half lion) But now Lord Nrsimhadev wanted to experience the pastimes of been the son and therefore He appeared as Lord Rama. In this incarnation, Lord Ramachandra played the part of an ideal son.
